Lawnscaping: Create a Background Challenge

Hope everyone is having a lovely week! I'm stopping in today to share the card I made for the Lawnscaping: Create a Background Challenge. I love this challenge theme, I have so much fun creating my own backgrounds.

For my card I used the critters at the dog park stamp set for the whole card.

I stitched the vellum on the card base first and then stamped the small images from the set, bone, paw print etc. I originally did it the opposite way around where I created the background on the vellum first and then went in with my sewing machine to stitch around the edges, and well I smudged everything, ink everywhere (oops) well at least I know for next time.

I colored the images with copic markers on white cardstock and cut them out to paste on card. I added the sentiment to a small strip of grey cardstock, which also worked to cover up the strip of adhesive I put down to hold the vellum down for sewing, and I think that's it!
