Zebra Valentine featuring Newton's Nook

Hello Friends!
Hope you are all staying warm where ever you are, It is quite cold and snowy here in Ottawa and is much better being inside card making!
I am sharing a card I made for the Newtons Nook use a heart shape challenge today.

Inky Paws Challenge #17 - Use a Heart Shape | Newton's Nook Designs

I am using the new Wild about Zoo stamp set, that I happened to win by commenting on a blog hop! Was delighted to receive it in the mail yesterday and get stamping! Soo cute, love all the adorable critters in this set and the animal print hearts are my favorite!

I started off with fog cardstock, I stamped the hearts in the background using versafine ink and cut some vellum to put on top. I colored my Zebra with colored pencils on a separate piece of cardstock and cut him out.  I added some red hearts, some random sequins and twine to finish it off.

Hope you enjoyed my cute little Zebra card! Have a lovely rest of your week!
Thank you so much for stopping by!

The Card Concept Love Challenge: Watercolor card

Hello!
Hope everyone is having a lovely week so far! I am here today to play along with The Card Concept Love challenge today. I love breaking in to the love and valentines day theme cards! Maybe it's because I love all the girly colors, either way I enjoyed creating my love themed card for this challenge:)
I got my water coloring on not so long ago with a different card and had so much fun with it , that I haven't been able to stop, so another water colored card today!:)

I believe my card would fit into the Clean & Graphic style category. It's not so much clean with the splats of water color but the layout is clean and I think the water color effect gives it a graphic look.

I started off with water colored paper and cut out a heart to use as a mask. I used a variation of red and pink water colored paints and just randomly painted it while flicking some 'splotches' on the way to give it more of a bold look. I cut out the love sentiment from my Home Accents Cricut cartridge, added some gems and used some basic gray cardstock as a card base.

A little bit of a close up

Have a lovely day & thank you for stopping by!!:)

Birthday Cake Card featuring Lawn Fawn

I used pool party card stock as the base and die cut a circle scallop using the same color card stock and then ran it through my cuddle-bug with a flowery embossing folder. I sort of overlapped ribbon on the purple card stock and ran a quick stick through it with my sewing machine. The tag was cut out with my Cricut and then just stamped and colored the cake pieces added the sentiment from the Birthday Balloons stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. Added some twine and all done:)

Winter themed card featuring W plus 9

Hello!
Here today to share a winter themed card to play along with Simon Says Stamp winter themed challenge on their Monday challenge blog.

I used the Winter Pals stamp set from W plus 9. I love this set so much, its stinkin cute! I cut some small clouds out of my cricut to use as masks on the background. I used a few different blue inks and my blending tool  to create the background. The cute little bear and the sleigh I colored with copic markers on a heavier cardstock and cut out and pasted on top of snow hill.
The hill I created from vellum and covered in wink of stella for some sparkle and added some twine to finish it off.

The shimmer doesn't appear on the main picture so here's a close up.

Hope you enjoyed enjoyed my winter themed card! I am off to Mont Tremblant in Quebec myself this weekend for some winter fun, I just hope it's not too cold;) Enjoy your weekend! Thank you so much for stopping by.

Lawnscaping: Create a Background Challenge

Hello!
Hope everyone is having a lovely week! I'm stopping in today to share the card I made for the Lawnscaping: Create a Background Challenge. I love this challenge theme, I have so much fun creating my own backgrounds.

For my card I used the critters at the dog park stamp set for the whole card.
I stitched the vellum on the card base first and then stamped the small images from the set, bone, paw print etc. I originally did it the opposite way around where I created the background on the vellum first and then went in with my sewing machine to stitch around the edges, and well I smudged everything, ink everywhere (oops) well at least I know for next time.
I colored the images with copic markers on white cardstock and cut them out to paste on card. I added the sentiment to a small strip of grey cardstock, which also worked to cover up the strip of adhesive I put down to hold the vellum down for sewing, and I think that's it!
Hope you enjoyed my card. I will list all my supplies below.
Thank you so much for looking!!

Bubble Heart featuring Penny Black

Hello!!
Here to share a cute card using this adorable image from Penny Black. I've been doing a whole lot of images that require coloring lately, well because using Copic markers is like the adult version of a coloring book and is just fun and also practicing with my Copic markers to try and improve my coloring. I'm getting there slowly;)

Also will be playing along the Simon Says Stamp have a heart challenge over at their Wednesday challenge blog.

Besides the coloring I kept the card quite simple. I added some pattern paper on the bottom for some interest and some twine. This card works perfect for Valentines day but I left it without a sentiment because I feel like I could use it for other occasions as well.
