The Card Concept #42

Hi crafty friends!

There's a new challenge starting today over at The Card Concept. How pretty are those colors in the inspiration photo?!


My card is quite simplistisc but I started off with watercolor paper and did some ink smooshing with some water and distress ink. I used Tattered Rose, Antique Linen and Frayed burlap. My flowers are the Friendly Flowers set from Simon Says stamp. I stamped them on a separate piece of cardstock in a dark brown pigment ink and head embossed them with clear embossing powder. I popped one of the flowers up on dimensional tape and the other adhered right on the card just to overlap them a bit.

    Oh I love the background! Awesome job with the distress inks. I feel like I'm still struggling with them. Practice, practice and maybe some day I'll be able to create something beautiful like this!
