Thanks So Much

Hi crafty friends!

I have a fun ombre thank you card to share with you today. I made this a little bit ago but sometimes I put my cards under a hard surface to flatten them and well I forgot about it.

For this card I used watercolour paper and a few different blue colours to watercolour the background to get a sort of ombre gradient look. I die cut the background using the Starry Background die from Wplus9. I matted this panel on some glitter paper (didn't photograph well, sorry!)
The sentiment is from My Favourite Things, I embossed it on vellum with some gold embossing powder. I wanted something black on the card so it wasn't overly matchy but I didn't have any washi tape that would have worked so I made my own using tissue paper. I just stamped the chevron stamp on a strip of tissue paper, tore the edges and adhered on top of my vellum to make it look like washi tape.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I always appreciate your sweet comments!:)
Have an amazing day!

Embossed leaves

Hi crafty friends!

Happy Tuesday! Hope your all having a lovely start to the week.
I don't know about your weather but it's getting cold here already and I've has to scrape my car windows already. Ew. So I will likely get into making more Holiday and winter cards soon but for now I have a fall inspired card. It's my way of trying to hold on to fall just a tad longer.

If you haven't heard my crafty friend Ka over at Stamping Smile Designs is having a design team call for her tic-tac-toe challenge she will be starting soon. I love that she is taking this on and what a super fun challenge concept.

My card is based on the middle column of the tic-tac-toe board. Leaves, embossing, and sparkles!
I started with a piece of water color paper I cut using the scallop die from the Sweet Scallops die set from Avery Elle and stamped my leaves randomly with Versamark ink from the Our Friendship Grows stamp set from Lawn Fawn. I covered my stamped leaves in gold embossing powder and get with my heat tool. I used my Zig real brush markers to create a wash of color over each of them. I used the oval scallop die in the Sweet Scallops die set to cut out a space to in lay my gold glitter paper and sentiment. To finish my card off and to give it more sparkle I added some gold sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

The Card Concept #42

Hi crafty friends!

There's a new challenge starting today over at The Card Concept. How pretty are those colors in the inspiration photo?!

My card is quite simplistisc but I started off with watercolor paper and did some ink smooshing with some water and distress ink. I used Tattered Rose, Antique Linen and Frayed burlap. My flowers are the Friendly Flowers set from Simon Says stamp. I stamped them on a separate piece of cardstock in a dark brown pigment ink and head embossed them with clear embossing powder. I popped one of the flowers up on dimensional tape and the other adhered right on the card just to overlap them a bit.

Well that's it for mt card today. I hope you enjoyed and that you will join us over at The Card Concept.
Thank you so much for stopping by!

Sparkly Pumpkins

Hi there!
Hope you all having a good beginning to your week.
I'm stopping in today to share a card I made for the color challenge at the SSS Wednesday challenge blog and the Sparkle and Shine challenge blog.

I just fell in love with the purple and orange glitter pumpkins so I tried to recreate them.

fall-halloween-inspiration

I used the Happy Harvest stamp set from Lawn Fawn for the pumpkins. I originally stamped them all and colored with Copic markers, but once I covered them in double sided tape and covered in glitter I lost a lot of the color so I went directly on top of the glitter with my Copics. I sort of rubbed in the glitter to prevent as much fall out from the glitter as I could and then just colored right on top. This didn't seem to damage my marker tips at all and the glitter wiped off easily with a paper towel.
I used watercolor paper for my background and a grey Zig real brush marker for a subtle grey watercolor was in the background. All the dies I used are from Pretty Pink Posh and I will list them in the supplies below.

Thanks so much for dropping by today! Hope you enjoyed my sparkly pumpkins:)
Have a lovely day!

Thank you Starbucks cup card

Hi crafty friends!

So if you have been following along with the 30 day coloring challenge over at The Daily Marker, you likely recall one of the initial challenges was to turn a Starbucks cup into a card. Well when I got my cup  to create my initial card, they double cupped it so I've had this pretty cup lying around so I decided to create another card with it. I couldn't help myself, the cup is so pretty!

challenge_graphic-650-october

So I dissembled my cup and colored in with my Zig real brush markers. I cut out a side border with some of the images and then three more images individually. I over lapped the 3 images and adhered together, I popped this piece up on some dimensional adhesive and added barkers twine behind it.
The striped background is pattern paper from Lawn Fawn.
I scattered some gold sequins from Pretty Pink Posh to finish off my card.

I loved the challenge of creating a card out of something different and I don't have a whole lot of fall stamp sets so this worked perfectly to create some more fall cards.

Thank you so much for dropping in today! Hope you enjoy your day!

Happy Birthday Pillow Box

Hi crafty friends!

I wanted to stop in quickly to share a pillow box I made recently for my little brother's birthday (he's not that little, he turned 17) All I can really give him at this age is a gift card so I made a cute pillow box I can put it in.

Starting off with the pillow box it's self. I die cut the pillow box die from Lawn Fawn from some Surf Blue cardstock from SSS. To get the stars in the backfround I ran the cardstock through again with the Starry Background die from W plus 9 .I then stamped, colored and fussy cute out my little party animal from the Holiday Party Animal set from Lawn Fawn. I adhered my critter on a little square I had left over from a piece of the Storybook 1 die from PPP. I added my sentiment, cut my banner and added some twine to finish it off, & that's it. I think it turned out cute, maybe a little too cute for a 17 year old but that's ok:P

All I want for Christmas is ewe.

Hello!
Happy Monday!

Simon Wednesday Challenge Blog
I used the adorable Baaah Humbug stamp set from Lawn Fawn. I wanted these two little guys intertwined in the lights, so I masked of their faces and kept twisting and turning the lights to stamp them how I wanted. I colored my little guys with Copics  and otherwise kept my design pretty simple.

Super quick post today, I'm off to get ready for Thanksgiving , we have both families to do in one day so it's going to be a busy, food filled day:)
Have a lovely Monday
& Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians!!
Thank you so much for stopping by!

Freshly Made Sketches

Hi crafty friends!!
Happy Sunday!!
Hope you all had a lovely weekend. I don't usually post much on Sunday's but I made a card for the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches and I thought I'd jump in at the last minute to play along.
I also wanted to wish all my fellow Canadian crafters a very Happy Thanksgiving weekend! May your weekend be filled with family and food!:)
I loved the simplicity of the sketch so I tried to stay true to it.
Using the Let's Bokeh in The Snow pattern paper from Lawn Fawn. My little deer I cut from silver glitter paper using the Mama and Baby Deer die set from Memory box, my sentiment is from the Scripty Sayings stamp set also from Lawn Fawn that I stamped onto white card stock that I die cut using the Stitched Borders 3 die from Pretty Pink Posh. To finish the card I scattered it with Bermuda Blue and sparkling Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

That's it for me today! Just dropping in quickly. Hope you have a lovely rest of your day.

Wagon of wishes featuring Newton's Nook

Hi crafty friends!!
I have a fall card to share with you today using the Wagon of Wishes stamp set from Newton's Nook.

Simon Monday Challenge Blog

I love that Newton image of him on top of the pumpkin in the wagon but I wanted to add some more color so I masked off the bottom of the wagon to add the leaves on the bottom, also from this set. I stamped and colored these images on watercolor paper and using my Zig real brush water color markers.
I used some fog cardstock from Simon Says Stamp with a die from Pretty Pink Posh along with some chevron ribbon underneath my main panel.

The card base is from Crumb Cake card stock and I stamped the large plaid pattern background stamp from Hero Arts, it stamped a little darker then I would have liked but that's ok!

Hope you enjoyed my fall card!
Thank you so much for stopping by today!

The Card Concept #41

Hi there!

Today is the start of a new challenge over at The Card Concept inspired by the photo below.

I kind of loved the look of the white colored pumpkin so that was my main inspiration for my card.
My card base is kraft paper that I embossed using an embossing folder by Stampin up. I die cut a piece of white card-stock using a stitched rectangle die and stamped my pumpkins from the Happy Harvest stamp set from Lawn Fawn. I masked the larger pumpkin and stamped the smaller ones on the side. I masked all 3 pumpkins to stamp my leaves and blended some blue and beige ink for the background. I removed my masks and colored just a little grey with Copics onto my pumpkin. I stamped my sentient and added some twine and a bow to finish the card off.

Hope you'll join along with us for our challenge at The Card Concept. You have until Monday, October 19 to play along.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Hope your all having a lovely day so far!

Starbucks cup card

Hi all!
Happy Monday!
Hope you all had a lovely weekend and maybe had some time to get some crafting in!
I just wanted to share a quick card. You may have already seen it if you follow me on Instagram. I usually post on my blog and then Instagram but my internet was down and could only use my phone. It's funny how much we rely on technology. I swear the internet went down and I didn't know what to do with my self. My data was already maxed on my phone so I had to be careful with using the internet on it . Anywho! All that today my internet is back up :p

challenge_graphic-650-october

I made this card to play along with the 30 day color challenge over at The Daily Marker. Day 1 was to turn a Starbucks cup into a card, of course you didn't have to do that and create whatever you like but every time I see one of these cups I think how I want to take a part and see what I can do with it so I had to play along and go hunt me down a pretty Starbucks cups. If yo haven't already seen Kathy's card out of her cup, you have to go check it out, it's seriously stunning!

There's not to much for me to say about his card. I just took apart the Starbucks cup, colored it with Copic markers and cut out the center Starbucks lady logo and adhered onto some kraft cardstock. I stamped my sentiment from the Happy Harvest set from Lawn Fawn and heat embossed it with white embossing powder and went around the circle with a white gel pen for a faux stitching look.

Have a happy Monday! Thanks for stopping by!!

Gift Card Holder

Hi!
Happy Friday!
Hope you all having a lovely day!

I wanted to share a card with you that I made for one of my best friends Birthdays. I wanted it really girly and also love the look of black and pink together. My main element on the card was the gift card holder.

I'll also be playing along with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog for the anything goes challenge:)

Simon Wednesday Challenge Blog

I created this with the pillow box from Lawn Fawn using Pink Pirouette cardstock. The pillow box its self is actually much larger then this but I wanted it shorter to fit on the card better. The way I found worked best for that was, when I layed my cardstock on my die cut, I put it partially up so it wasn't covering the bottom, once the initial part was cut I folded it and lined it back up on the die with some hanging off, in order to get the rounded part cut. I did it this way because I wanted the top to have the little notch but not the bottom. I hope that makes sense, I included  pictures in case it doesn't :p .Once I had it the size I wanted I adhered the side tab closed and put some adhesive on the bottom to keep it closed.

The background is an older background stamp from Hero Arts. The twine and bow is a die cut from Pretty Pink Posh that I used with some black cardstock and covered with Wink of Stella. The little tag with the sentiment is cut from the Stitched Label dies also from Pretty Pink Posh. This was originally longer then I wanted it for this card but I shortened again by lining it up again on my die and running it through my machine again. Then sentiment is from the Birthday Bears set from My Favorite Things. To finish off the card I scattered it with some gold and sparkling clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

That's it for my gift card holder Birthday card today. I may create the holder to put on insides of card too!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope your having an awesome Friday!:)
