Hello Baby card

Hi crafty friends!

The Card Concept is having a design team call for a few of their category styles and well I very much enjoy playing along with their challenges and love the idea that you create for a certain style design. I of course had to create a card for their call!

I usually go back and forth between clean and simple and clean and graphic, when I create cards for their challenges. I enjoy clean and simple cards but usually feel the need to add a bit extra and it ends up in the clean and graphic category. So the card I have created for today is for the clean and graphic category.

I have chosen one of their previous challenges to create for.

In the inspiration picture below I loved that it was a baby nursery so I went with that but was also inspired by the bright pink color the gray, and the chevron on the drapes and sheets.

I stamped my crib first, colored it with Copic markers and then masked it off  by stamping the same image on scrap paper, fussy cutting it out an temporally adhering it over my colored image. I then used a chevron stencil to sponge on some grey ink in the background. I stamped my sentiment and colored the "baby" area in with some light gray Copics and finally adhered my panel onto melon mambo card stock

Lawnscaping - Calling All Critters Challenge

Hello again!

Hope your all having a lovely beginning of the week!

I have a card today I created for the Lawnscaping calling all critters challenge.

Challenge? Creating a card with critters is so not a challenge for me. I love critter cards! So of course I had fun playing along with this one.

I used the stitched hillside border die to create my grassy hills and sponged in some distress ink to have a subtle blue sky. I did the same on the little framed area I cut using the stitched rectangle die. I then stamped all my little critters on white card stock colored them with Copic markers and fussy cut them out to create my critter scene!

I went a little critter happy on this one but I think they're all so cute!

Watercolor sunset card featuring W plus 9

Hello crafty friends!

Happy Monday!

Stopping in quickly today to share another card for the Watercolor blog hop.

I will also be participating in the Less is More Sunset color challenge.

I had a sort of purple/orange sunset look in mind when I was making this card and what better way to achieve that look then water coloring.

Like my previous watercolor cards from yesterday I also used Distress Ink to water color with.

Watercolor Blog Hop

Happy Sunday!!

I'm here to play along with the Watercolor Blog Hop hosted by Pretty Pink Posh. What a fun hop! I'm enjoying hopping around looking at everyone's stunning water color creations!!

I have so much fun water coloring that I created a few cards, 2 that I'm sharing today.

I recently purchased some Zig Real Brush Markers, which would have been perfect for this but I have yet to receive them so both my cards I have water colored using Distress Inks.

I didn't realize how much my first card resembles the blog hop picture above!

So I used a water color brush and some distress inks to and just stroked the ink on, overlapping each other slightly. I used the Happy Birthday die from SSS to cut the Birthday sentiment and kept the negative pieces to adhere in place. I finished the card off my scattering some lovely Pretty Pink Posh sequins randomly on the card. 

And a cute baby card for my second creation.

 I used 3 different blue inks in the background to create an ombre look, Broken China Distress Ink, Marina Mist and Pool Party from Stampin up. I stamped my little teddy bear from the Nursery Deco stamp set from Mama Elephant on a separate piece of water color paper, colored in Distress Ink and fussy cut out to adhere on my card.

I of course also finished this card off wit some PPP sequins.

Thanks card

Hi all!

Stopping in to share a simple thank you card today, or 'Thanks' in this case.

I really love the look of color on black cards, so that's what I decided to do for this card.

I heat embossed the background using the classic fabric design stamp by hero arts with clear embossing powder. Sadly it doesn't photograph  well but you can still see subtly hopefully. The die is the Big Thanks die by SSS, which I die cut with white card stock using my cuddle-bug and then just colored with a bunch of different Copic colors. I used my colorless blender pen in between each color to help the colors blend better.

I added some colorful sequins from Pretty Pink Posh for the finishing touch.

A simple card but I love the look of it.

Tomorrow is a new day card featuring W plus 9

Happy Tuesday!

I'm sharing a pretty birdie card today and will be playing along with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge blog for the Anything Goes challenge.

I used the beautiful bird stamp from the A New Day stamp set from W plus 9. I love this set & glad I got around to using it finally.

I stamped my image with Versafine ink and colored in with Copic markers. I masked the bird off to protect my coloring and sponged on some broken china distress ink for a subtle background.

I did some quick stitching around the edges (my stitching is never perfect but I'm ok with it)

I used Pistachio Pudding cardstock from Stampin up (I believe it is now retired, sorry!) for my card base and used an edge die also from Stampin up on the side of my card. I adhered a paper doily behind my main panel and added some Pretty Pink Posh sequins to finish the card off.
