Mothers day card featuring W plus 9

Hello!
Happy Monday & Happy belated Mothers Day! Hope you all had a lovely mothers day, however you may have spent it, spending time with your mama's or being spoiled by your little ones!
I personally spend it with my mom, grandma and both my bothers at brunch on a patio (because it's finally nice out!) and it was lovely!:)
I wanted to share the card I made for my mom for mothers day and also participate in the Sparkle and Shine challenge blog today.
Now that I have received my Pretty Pink Posh sequins (which got here in super speedy time, I was super impressed), I had to play along with this challenge!:)

I used the Pretty Little Peonies set from W plus 9 for the flowers. This is also a new set to me and I love it! It is a builder set so it took me some playing around with them to figure out how to best stamp them. There is three images you stamp for each flower image to give it more depth and life, of course you don't have to use all three. What I found best for me was to use all three images but I only used two different colors for each and did some second generation stamping with one of the colors.
It took me a while but I like the way it turned out and I will definitely continue to play around with this pretty set!
I stamped my sentiment from the Unforgettable stamp set also from W plus 9, as it seemed very fitting for my mom!
And of course finished it off with a variety of Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

Again hope you all had lovely Mothers Day and a good start to your week. Thanks for stopping by!!

Lawnscaping watercolor challenge

Hello again!:)
Here to share a card I made for the watercolors challenge at the Lawnscaping challenge blog.

I've been loving playing with water coloring lately! However I'm not so good with coloring images in with water coloring , I try but just get frustrated with they way it looks, I much prefer laying down strokes of color. So that's what I did with this card.

I used the Our Friendship Grows stamp set on water color paper and also stamped some images in the background with Dusty Concord Distress Ink, and spritzed with water before stamping to give a watercolor look in the background as well.
I used the Scripty Sayings set for the sentiment and added some pretty sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

I'm quite happy with the way the colors came out & have so much fun water coloring!:)
Hope you all have a lovely rest of your week!!
Thanks for stopping by!:)

Newton's Nook Sketch Challenge

Hello crafty friends!
Happy middle of the week!
It's been a while again since I shared anything or crafted at all! Eeek, sorry! Again some life stuff popped up and kept me from my craft room, but I'm getting back into and should not disapear again! While I was not crafting though I did order a bunch of new craft supplies, mostly stamp sets and dies & can't wait to share what I do with them!
Today I'm sharing a card for the Newton's Nook sketch challenge.

I used the newer Delightful Doxies stamp set! Love, love this set! It's so stinkin cute and couldn't wait to start playing with it. I also purchased my first order of sequins fom Pretty Pink Posh, so naturally I had to create a shaker card!:)

I started off by die cutting my frame for the shaker element with some gray card stock and using a stitched rectangle die from My Favorite Things. I sponged some soft blue ink in the background to create some soft clouds, stamped some butterflys and my sentiment. I added my acetate sheet and foam adhesive, added my pretty sequins to finish the shaker elemant off. I then stamped my images with SSS black ink onto 120lb base cardstock, colored with Copic markers and fussy cut out leaving a slight white space. I added some twine to the doggies tail and adhered on to my frame.
I cut the bottom of my car using the stitched hillside border die from Lawn Fawn and added some orange scrap paper I had on hand to add mor color. The pretty orange twine on top came from the packaging when I recieved theis stamp set from Newton's Nook:)
I added some clear wink of stella on the kite (sadly doiesn't picture well) and some more sequins around the card, & that's it!

Copics used:
Doggie:  E53 E55 E57
Kite: BV00 BV000 BG01 B00

I hope you enjoyed my card! I love the way it turned out, the colors are so summery to me.
Thank you so much for stopping by!!

Hope your birthday is Unforgettable featuring Wplus9

Hello!

Woah! So I kinda feel like its been forever since I blogged. My last blog post was before Easter & I mentioned that I hoped to craft a lot and try some new challenge blogs as you can tell that did not happen:(
It took me quite a lot longer to finish those wedding invitations I mentioned, then I got sick during Easter and then had some personal / family stuff come up and I just couldn't bring my self to get crafty or to blog, but I'm so happy to be feeling better and be in my craft room. I have a lot of catching up to do on all your gorgeous blogs and projects, may take me a bit but I will do it!:)
I have another card to share with you using the Unforgettable stamp set by W plus 9. Eek, still can't get over this adorable set.

So this card took a whole lot of masking. I stamped out my scene on white cardstock and every image I used on the card I also stamped on some scrap paper to be able to create masks to protect my images for when I sponge in my ink to create the backgrounds. The balloons were a little more tricky just because they over lap so I stamped 3 on my card first covered them with the mask I created and then stamped the others. I covered all my images with my masks and blended on various distress ink colors (will list below) to create my sky and ground. I then removed all my masks and colored all my images with  Copic markers. I stamped my image on some and added it to the card. As a side note I keep all the mask I create inside the stamp set to use again later.

Also I made the elephants have a night party simply because I wanted to use the stars in the set:)!

Thank you so very much for stopping by and for being patient with my non blogging recently. Your all so sweet and always appreciate your kindness!
