TBT Watercolor Trio

Hi Crafty friends!!
Happy Thursday! Yay! It's almost Friday and then a long weekend! Maybe its just a long weekend in Canada? I'm not sure:P
So on Thursdays I've decided to start to do a throw back Thursday sort of thing and use older stamp sets. It's basically just an excuse for my self to break out stamps I haven't used in a LONG time.

Today, I created a card using the Watercolor Trio stamp set from Stampin up! (It wont't be listed below, as I said its old,and no longer available) but the watercolor look to these flowers are so pretty so I had to break it out.
I started with watercolor paper that I cut using the Stitched Rectangle dies from MFT. I stamped my flower images with Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap Distress Ink and spritzed a bit with water before stamping on my paper. I did the same with the little water color butterfly but using Tattered Rose and Dusty Concord Distress Ink. I used some ribbon I had in my stash and adhered this panel onto some Lavender card stock from SSS.

That's it for my card today! I'm looking forward to getting into some other older stamp sets I have to share with you on Thursdays in the future!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!!

W plus 9 sketch challenge featuring Happy Mail

Hello again

I have a quick post today sharing a card I made for the W plus 9 Get Sketchy challenge using the Happy Mail set. This set is oh so cute! I loved coloring these little guys.

I really liked the simplicity of the sketch so I tried to stay true to it, just adding a few images near the bottom.
I added some patterned paper I had in my stash under the diagonal cut. Stamped my images with Memento black ink and colored in with Copic markers.

That's it! A quick and cute card. Hope you enjoyed it.
Thank you so much for stopping by!!
Hope your all having a lovely week so far!

Vellum Shaker Card

Hi crafty friends!

Hope you all had a lovely weekend!!
I didn't get as much crafting in as I would have liked but otherwise it was a lovely weekend.
Stopping in to share a card I created for Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge blog for the Sparkle & Shine challenge.
I love sequins and all things glittery!

I created my card base with Surf Blue card stock from SSS. I embossed my white panel with an embossing folder from Sizzix using my Cuddle-bug.
I cut a rectangle piece of vellum and stamped the sentiment from the Written in Watercolor stamp set from My Favorite Things with  black Stazon ink, and partly sewed it on with my sewing machine. I left a little opening to fill it with sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and completed my sewing.
I finished it off with some sequins around the card (mainly to cover my imperfect sewing job;)

That's it for my card today! Thank you so much for stopping by!! Hope you all have a wonderful week!!

Birthday watercolor card featuring Wplus9

Hi Friends!

Here to stop in with a cute water colored card I made featuring the adorable Party Animal set from Wplus9. I just adore this set, so you may see cards from me featuring this set often.
I will be playing along the Curtain Call, Celebrate challenge today.

I did all the water coloring for this card using the Zig clean color real brush markers and a water brush. I only have a 12 pack but it seems to be more then enough for me right now, plus its fun mixing colors!
I used Strathmore water color paper and started off with the background just stroking some blue and green. I stamped my images separately, colored them and fussy cut them out to adhere onto my card. I covered my balloon in Wink of Stella glitter and adhered my panel onto some Fog card stock from SSS.

I hope you enjoyed my cute giraffe card! Thank you so much for stopping by!!
Have a lovely week!!

Happy Birthday floral card featuring My Favorite Things & W plus 9

Hi again!
I've been very heavy on critter cards lately, I love my critter stamps, but I also have so many other stamps I love! So I thought I'd take a break from my critters and share a floral birthday card with you today.

My flowers are from the Pretty Little Peonies set from Wplus9. Being a builder stamp set , there is 3 stamps to create a flower. I used all 3 to create my flowers but only 2 ink colors. For my purple flowers I used Lavender ink from SSS. Stamping off first to create my lightest shade and then using the same ink stamping straight on for my medium shade for the last stamp and darkest color, I used Dusty Concord Distress ink. For my blue flowers I did the same thing using Marina Mist ink and Island Indigo ink from Stampin up.
My happy birthday sentiment is from the Written in Watercolor stamp set from My Favorite Things, stamped in Island Indigo ink.
I finished my card off using sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

I will also be submitting my card into the Virgina's View 100% stamped challenge.

Also wanted to share that I will be joining The Card Concept design team as clean and graphic designer!
This is my first design team and I'm so happy to join such a talented group of ladies!
The Card Concept is taking a break through out the summer so you will be able to see my designs with them as of September.

I'm on the Design Team

Thank you so much for stopping by! :)

Glitter card for Lawnscaping challenge

Hi there!!
Hope your having a lovely week so far!
Just dropping in today to share a card I created for the Lawnscaping, Sparkle & Shine Challenge.
I love glitter and shiny things so this was totally up my alley:)

I water colored the few images on this card so I started with water color paper. I stamped my images and colored them using my Zig clean color real brush markers. My silver glitter paper is Deco Sheets from Tim Holts. It has an adhesive backing so it's lovely for die cuts like this, I die cut clouds out of that glitter paper and vellum using the Puffy clouds border dies from Lawn Fawn. I stamped my sentiment on the vellum from the Scripty Sayings using Stazon ink. I originally used the normal black ink I use which is Verafine but it was smudging all over the place. I added some silver stickles on the kite string and added some silver stars from Pretty Pink Posh to finish my sparkly card!

Thank you so much for dropping by!!
:)
