Copic dot coloring for Lawnscaping Challenge

Hello crafty friends!

Hope your all having a lovely week so far. It's kind of rainy here but what a perfect excuse to craft. I've kind of lost my card making mojo lately. I feel as though it is the same as writers block but for card makers but I'm hoping a weekend full of crafting coming up will fix this.
I did manage to pull together a card for the Lawnscaping - Try a new technique challenge.

The technique that I decided to try was "Copic dot coloring" which I was inspired by from this video from the very talented Jennifer Mcguire.
I think it looks so cute with critters but I decided to try it with this tree from the Let's Play stamp set from Lawn Fawn. I like how it gives the image a different look.

This was a pretty simple card. I die cut a piece of white card stock and stamped my images and then colored with Copics using mainly dots. I colored with the lightest color first and then just dots for the rest of the coloring.
I layered this panel with some vellum and some patterned paper I had on hand.

Over all it was a simple technique but I think I may try it again with some cute critters.

All supplies listed below.
Thanks so much for stopping by!:)

One Year Wiser card for Retro Sketches

Hello crafty friends!
Happy Friday!! Woah as if it's Friday already! Yay! I love short work weeks!

Here today to share a card I made for the Retro Sketch challenge blog.

I used the Birthday Owl set by Lil Inker Designs. I started with a white card stock panel and stamped my cute little owl on. I also stamped him on some scrap paper to create a mask to be able to sponge in my background color. I create my masks by stamping my image on paper, fussy cutting it out and using temporary adhesive to cover my images. I drew his branch by hand and stamped the clouds from the Sunny Skies set from Lawnfawn. I needed to mask off these images as well but because I didn't have a stamp for the branch, I masked it off with rubber cement. Once all my images were stamped and masked I blended in Broken China Distress Ink for the background. After removing my masks I colored my images with Copic markers and covered the clouds and balloons with clear wink of stella as well as glossy accents to give it a shine. I die cut the Stitched Hillside Border die from Lawn fawn and the Picket Fence die from Pretty Pink Posh to add on the bottom to finish my scene.
My scallop border die on the side is from the Adorning Accents set from Stampin up and I just finished the card off with gems!

That's it for my card! Supplies listed below. Hope you all have a lovely Friday and fantastic weekend! Thank you for stopping by to look at my card!!

Mothers day card featuring W plus 9

Hello!
Happy Monday & Happy belated Mothers Day! Hope you all had a lovely mothers day, however you may have spent it, spending time with your mama's or being spoiled by your little ones!
I personally spend it with my mom, grandma and both my bothers at brunch on a patio (because it's finally nice out!) and it was lovely!:)
I wanted to share the card I made for my mom for mothers day and also participate in the Sparkle and Shine challenge blog today.
Now that I have received my Pretty Pink Posh sequins (which got here in super speedy time, I was super impressed), I had to play along with this challenge!:)

I used the Pretty Little Peonies set from W plus 9 for the flowers. This is also a new set to me and I love it! It is a builder set so it took me some playing around with them to figure out how to best stamp them. There is three images you stamp for each flower image to give it more depth and life, of course you don't have to use all three. What I found best for me was to use all three images but I only used two different colors for each and did some second generation stamping with one of the colors.
It took me a while but I like the way it turned out and I will definitely continue to play around with this pretty set!
I stamped my sentiment from the Unforgettable stamp set also from W plus 9, as it seemed very fitting for my mom!
And of course finished it off with a variety of Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

Again hope you all had lovely Mothers Day and a good start to your week. Thanks for stopping by!!

Lawnscaping watercolor challenge

Hello again!:)
Here to share a card I made for the watercolors challenge at the Lawnscaping challenge blog.

I've been loving playing with water coloring lately! However I'm not so good with coloring images in with water coloring , I try but just get frustrated with they way it looks, I much prefer laying down strokes of color. So that's what I did with this card.

I used the Our Friendship Grows stamp set on water color paper and also stamped some images in the background with Dusty Concord Distress Ink, and spritzed with water before stamping to give a watercolor look in the background as well.
I used the Scripty Sayings set for the sentiment and added some pretty sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

I'm quite happy with the way the colors came out & have so much fun water coloring!:)
Hope you all have a lovely rest of your week!!
Thanks for stopping by!:)
