Nursery Deco cards for Less is More challenge

Hello! Happy Tuesday! Yay for short work weeks! Friday being Good Friday and Monday being Easter Monday makes for a lovely long weekend of crafting hopefully:)
I decided that this week I'm going to participate in new blog challenges I haven't before, one's I've seen and like but haven't participated in. I hope I can stick to this plan as I still haven't finished those wedding invitations I mentioned in my last post, ugh.
Today I am playing along with the "Less is More" challenge blog. This is a challenge blog for clean and simple card designs which I adore so I had to start playing along.
This weeks challenge is to combine any three previous challenges into one creation. I have used week 59-Masking, week 68-Baby or child, week 215-Include an animal.
I decided to make some baby cards because my nursing partner at work is expecting, and does not know what she is having yet so I just made a boy and girl version, I'm sure I will be able to use the other eventually.

I did a lot of masking on these cards as I wanted to keep them one layer(minus the gems & pearls). I  started with 120lb card stock from SSS. I stamped my little scene from the Nursery Deco stamp set from Mama Elephant on both the card stock and some scrap paper so I can create masks for each image. I colored my images in using Copic markers and at this point covered them with my mask to protect the coloring and then blended some color onto the background (It's not very noticeable on the boy card but its a light blue color). I removed my masks, stamped my sentiments, adhered this panel onto a card base and added some cute pearls.

"Workout" stamp set from Simon Says Stamp

Hi there! Happy Friday!! Yay
Hope your week has gone well & you're finding time to craft. I am currently working on wedding invites for someone so I am crafting but not for myself lol, that's ok I hope be done them by the end of the weekend:)

Here to share a couple of cards I made using the Work Out stamp set from Simon Says Stamp from the Hop To It collection. I loved this set when they released it. It just reminded me of me. I enjoy working out and like yoga, I also have friends I work out with sometimes, so I was drawn to it. I usually try and justify the stamp sets I purchase, make sure I can use them to make cards for others. I couldn't figure how I would use this one but I just purchased it anyways because I love the images. The sentiments are so encouraging so it inspired me to make some encouragement cards & I like the way they turned out:)

I will also be playing along with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog today - Its Anything Goes!!

This card I started with pink pirouette cardstock as my card base and used some scrap pattern papers  in my background. I stamped my image on some white cardstock and colored in with Copic markers, and fussy cut it out.
I adhered it on to the circle I cut out and stamped with a Hero Arts background.

I also stamped this image on separate white cardstock, colored with Copic markers and fussy cut it out. I embossed some Fog cardstock with a chevron embossing folder in my Cuddlebug,as my background. I cut out a frame using my paper trimmer from some Mint cardstock. I adhered my sentiment behind my image and adhered them both on to my card base.

Lawnscaping Distress Addicts Challenge

Hello again!!
I'm stopping in to share another card I made for the Distress Addicts challenge for Lawnscaping.
I had already made a card for this challenge but wanted to make one that had a more all around distressy look, if that makes any sense. So I  created this one.

I started off with some crumb cake cardstock as my card base, then used some sticky back canvas to do my stamping on. I haven't used this stuff forever but thought it would be perfect for this look. So you can cut out a perfect shape of this stuff if you prefer but I like to make just a little cut with my scissors and then tear the rest by hand to get that sort frayed look around the edges of the canvas. I stamped directly on the canvas and colored in with Copics. I had to sort of pounce my marker to color the images so blending more than one color wasn't really an option on this sort of material.
I took my scissors to fray the edges around the card and sponged on some Frayed Burlap Distress ink around the edges of both the canvas and the paper to finish the distressy look.

Thanks for stopping by to see my card!

Clean & Simple elephant card featuring Wplus9

Hi Crafty Friends!
So there has been a stamp set I've been in love with but every time I went to order it it was sold out, I finally received it about a week or so ago and wanted to share a card I made using it with you.
It is the Unforgettable stamp set from Wplus9. Its so very cute. I have made 2 cards so far with set but I have another in mind so I hope you don't get tired of me using it :p
I'm sharing the clean and simple one today.

I used 120lb white cardstock from SSS as my main piece. I stamped my cute little elephant on  it and also on a scrap piece to be able to cut out and use as a mask. I used a negative of a circle cut out to mask off the rest of my card and masking my elephant as well, I sponged some bashful blue ink as my sky and some lucky limeade as my grass. Once I removed my masks I stamped by lovely sentiment with black onyx ink and added some little gems to give it the finishing touch.
Hope you enjoy this cute little elephant as much as I do!! Thanks for stopping by!

The Card Concept Cupcake challenge

Hello!
Happy Monday! Hope you all had a lovely weekend!
I was personally hoping to get more crafting and blogging in but sadly my power was out most of Saturday, the weather wasn't even that bad, I don't get it! Oh well, I did manage to create this cupcake card for The Card Concept Challenge.
The yummy looking cupcakes in their photo inspired my card. I also really wanted to use this set from Mama Elephant that I have had for a bit and have yet to use it till now. I believe my card would fit into the clean and graphic category for this challenge.

I used pistachio pudding cardstock as my card base and then white cardstock to create my subtle background with a chevron stencil and some pool party ink. I stamped my cupcakes on separate white cardsctock (120lb from SSS) colored them in with Copic markers and then cut them out to adhere onto my card. I stamped both sentiments with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed with black and gold embossing powder. I covered my cupcake tops with some Wink of Stella glitter pen but sadly it doesn't show up well in the photo. To finish it off I added some random silver sequins.

Hope you enjoyed my cupcake card! Thank you so much for stopping by!:)

Distress Addicts Lawnscaping challenge

Hello again!
Here to play along with the Distress Addicts Lawnscaping challenge today.
I love playing with my Distress inks so this was a fun one for me. Although I ended up making sort of a clean simple card.

I started with a white card base and masked off sides just using painters tape. I then sponged on 3 different colored distress inks randomly within that masked area. I colored my cute doggy images on a seperate white cardstock with Copic markers and then fussy cut out. I colored these in just using one marker colored ink and then sponged some distress ink on them around the edges. I added some butterfly's and my sentiment and that finishes my card:)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Maid of Honor speech picture

Hello!
Here today with a non card project to share with you.
Just wanted to share something else I created. Actually, I wouldn't say created but more put together lol.
I got married in the summer and still putting together all my pictures and such for the wall. I blew up some as soon as I could and have those up but I wanted to do something special with a few that I'm sort of getting around to doing now.
My maid of honor was amazing and were speech was hilarious and just truly amazing as well so I wanted to have it out so I could read it once in a while.
So I framed one of our Maid of Honor picture we took and simply have the speech surrounding it. I added some silver sparkle paper on top as it was one of our wedding colors but besides that all I did was print out the speech to surround the picture.
Sorry the picture has a whole lot of glare and reflection, thought I'd share anyhow.

I will stop in tomorrow to share a card!
Thank ya for stopping in!!!

Wild About You card featuring Newton's Nook

Hello again:)
Here today to share a card for the Simon Says Stamp Lions and Lambs Challenge over at their Monday Challenge blog. It's an animal challenge challenge, which is right up my alley because I love my cute animal stamps! I'm using the Wild Child stamp set from Newton's Nook. Love this set with the baby animals and their mama's, SO cute!

I used Fog cardstock from SSS and stamped the leaves in the set with Crumb Cake ink for a tone on tone background. and then adhered the animal print ribbon I had in my stash across the card front. For the main panel I started with white cardstock and sponged on some blue ink for the sky and  some green for the grass and stamped the grass on with a slightly darker green. I stamped my image on a separate piece of cardstock using a heavier weight cardstock (120lb) colored with Copic markers and fussy cut it out to adhere on my project.

I love how neutral this card is so it can be given to a male as well.
Thank you so much for stopping by to look at my card!

You Make Me Smile Patterned Paper Card

Hello Crafters!
Hope you had a lovely weekend and a good start to your week.
I had a productive weekend, did a deep clean to the house that needed to be done, shopping, visited with family, things like that, sadly did not get much crafting in though! That's ok though! I plan to be a little more disciplined this week and go to the gym before work so I can come afterwards and just craft, we'll see how that goes:p
So just a quick and simple card today.
Wanted to use some patterned paper that I just keep hoarding.
Beside the pattered paper, I simply stamped my sentiment on some basic gray cardstock and cut into a banner shape and added some buttons and bakers twine.

I love these two patterns together, I may have to play with my pattern paper more often.
Hope you all have a lovely week!
Thank you for stopping in!!!!

Lawnscaping Dots & Stripes Challenge #2

Hello fellow crafters!:)

Here today to share another card I made for the Lawnscaping: Dots & Stripes challenge.

I just received some of the new Lawn Fawn stamps and of course had to play with adorable set. So cute! I also purchased some shaker windows and wanted to give those a try as well so a shaker card it is.

I created my own stripes on the card base just using some painters tape and the sponged on ink on top.  I wanted a sort of tone one tone subtle look for the stripes.  I stamped my images on some 120lb base cardstock and once again on some scrap paper to be able to cut out and use as masks on my original images to beable to sponge on my cloudy background (which didn't photograph well) and my grass, then peeled off my masks and colored in with Copic markers. I then take my shaker frame, filled it with my sequins, peeled off the backing of the shaker frame to reveal the adhesive and then lined my image paper on top. I then adhered that part on my card base and covered with a frame I just cut with my paper trimmer and ran threw a dot embossing folder.
I realized after I would have liked to fill my shaker up a little more with sequins, oh well! I also enjoy these shaker frames, they are a lot easier to use then acetate and playing around with foam take and having your sequins stick to the side (maybe that's just me) anywho, I may have to try them in different sizes and shapes.

Hope you like my shaker card:)
Thanks so very much for stopping by!!!

Lawnscaping: Dots & Stripes Challenge

Hello again.
Here with yet another post today, I usually don't post twice in one day but I got my time frame all screwed up. I have 2 cards I made for this challenge and just realized the challenge closes tomorrow and haven't submitted either yet! I was making wedding invites for my husbands work friend on the weekend rather then my usual card making so I blame that for my time frame issues lol.
I have a card today for the Lawnscaping: Dot & Stripe challenge.
Dots and stripes together = really fun cards. I initially created this card and didn't have a sentiment on it as I pictured this long sentiment on it from the new Scripty Sayings set but had yet to receive it in the mail but tada I received it just in time and love the way it turned out, how fits write across the long card, love it!

I used the Our Friendship Grows stamp set for the flowers. I realize these flowers are sunflowers but I wanted them to be bright and colorful.
I stamped my flowers and leaves (separately) on 120lb cardstock from SSS and colored with Copic markers, I then cut the flowers and leaves out. I adhered my leaves behind the flowers first, so I knew where I wanted them before I adhered my flowers down on my striped pattern paper. I created a frame out of some polka dot pattern paper I had in my stash simply using my paper trimmer.
I then added my sentiment!:)

Thank you so much for stopping by once again!!

Thinking of you card featuring Simon Says Stamp

Hello crafty friends!Hope your all having a lovely week so far! Here to share a card for the Card Concept Challenge: Thinking of You.
I love, love breaking out my flowery stamps! It makes me feel like spring is coming! Today is actually so mild here, snow is melting and it actually feels like we might see the first signs of spring:)

I have made my card for the clean and layered category of the challenge.
I used the Friendly Flowers stamp set from Simon Says Stamp, also used the sentiment in the same stamp set. I love how the flowers in this set have almost a messy look? kind of like water color.
I used some random pattern paper strip I had in my stash under the sentiment and added some stitching with my sewing machine for some interest, it turned out a little messier than I wanted but I just went with it.
I added some pearls and that's about it, I tried to keep it simple.

I'm going to start playing around with inlinks again to make my product lists, however the last time I used it, I guess a code broke and it was causing problems to my blog and making pop ups when people would view it, so if you have any problems viewing my blog I'd very much appreciate it if you let me know:)
Thank you so much for stopping by!! Have a lovely crafty day!:)

Party, Its your Birthday! card for Newton's Nook one layered challenge

Hello!

Here again to share another card for the Newton's Nook One Layered challenge.
Really loving this challenge, although I did find it difficult in the sense if I screwed something up I couldn't cover it up with another layer:p

Inky Paws Challenge #18 - Just one Layer | Newton's Nook Designs

I started off with some 120lb white cardstock from Simon Says Stamp and masked off the edges with some painters tape. I stamped my images on the card and on some scrap paper to be able to cut out and use for masks. I colored my images with Copic markers and then covered with my masks using temporary adhesive. I then used a chevron stencil over top and sponged with some lavender and mint ink in random areas, not covering the whole card. I then took off the stencil and continued to sponge with same colored inks. I took off the masks covering my images and the tape covering the sides, stamped my sentiments and that's it! That finishes my one layered card:)

Thanks so much for stopping by and for all the sweet comments you leave me, it always makes me smile so thank you ever so much. Hope you all have a lovely weekend!!

Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Hi crafty friends!!
Hope you are having a great start to your week! I haven't shared as much as I wanted to in the last few days, I caught a bug, like I feel most people have this winter, It was just a cold but I literally had zero energy, so crafting and blogging just didn't happen. Today was the first day I could breath through my nose again and had enough energy to go back to the gym after work and come home after and make a card! Yay! Little things excite me:)
So I'm a tad behind but I wanted to create a card for the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. I've been seeing such amazing creations for this hop! So much fun! I am more of a tea lover my self but same category so of course had to join along:)

I started by stamping my images from Love You a Latte stamp set by Lawn Fawn on 120lb cardstock by SSS and colored with Copic markers and cut these out. I stamped the coffee bean and little heart with Frayed Burlap Distress ink on the card base in the background. I took my white piece of cardstock and just cut it like a banner by hand. I adhered my images and stamped my sentiment. I added some twine and put some faux stitch lines around the edge to give it the finishing touch.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope your all having a lovely and creative week so far!
