Hope your birthday is Unforgettable featuring Wplus9

Hello!

Woah! So I kinda feel like its been forever since I blogged. My last blog post was before Easter & I mentioned that I hoped to craft a lot and try some new challenge blogs as you can tell that did not happen:(
It took me quite a lot longer to finish those wedding invitations I mentioned, then I got sick during Easter and then had some personal / family stuff come up and I just couldn't bring my self to get crafty or to blog, but I'm so happy to be feeling better and be in my craft room. I have a lot of catching up to do on all your gorgeous blogs and projects, may take me a bit but I will do it!:)
I have another card to share with you using the Unforgettable stamp set by W plus 9. Eek, still can't get over this adorable set.

So this card took a whole lot of masking. I stamped out my scene on white cardstock and every image I used on the card I also stamped on some scrap paper to be able to create masks to protect my images for when I sponge in my ink to create the backgrounds. The balloons were a little more tricky just because they over lap so I stamped 3 on my card first covered them with the mask I created and then stamped the others. I covered all my images with my masks and blended on various distress ink colors (will list below) to create my sky and ground. I then removed all my masks and colored all my images with  Copic markers. I stamped my image on some and added it to the card. As a side note I keep all the mask I create inside the stamp set to use again later.

Also I made the elephants have a night party simply because I wanted to use the stars in the set:)!

Thank you so very much for stopping by and for being patient with my non blogging recently. Your all so sweet and always appreciate your kindness!

  8. Welcome back, Shannon! I have been on a break, too, since before Easter and just came back. People will think we ran off together to some fun exotic stamping retreat! We wish!! I adore your card and your expert masking! You know I saw on National Geographic just the other day that elephants ONLY party at night so your card is historically correct in every way! That's a total lie, but it sounded good, huh? Enjoy your day and being back to card making!! Hugs, Darnell
