Winter Friends preview for Pretty Pink Posh!

Hello, and happy Saturday!

Hope you have some fun weekend things planned! I will be mainly running around and getting some last minute things done before we leave for vacation to Cuba on Tuesday but first I have a very special post for you!

I feel oh so lucky and privileged to be a guest designer for Pretty Pink Posh`s AMAZING recent release. There will be a 2 day blog hop on November 12 & 13 show casing the wonderful new products by incredible designers along with some prizes but I'm here today to give you a little preview!

I'm seriously in love with her stamp sets! They are beyond adorable! Below are the main products I used. The adorable Winter Friends Stamp Set and the Scallop Frames Die, but I will list all products at the end of my post.

I created a shaker for this project. I started with water color paper and colored the background with some blue Zig real brush markers. I stamped the snow flakes from the stamp set with some distress ink . I created the shaker element using the smaller scallop frame. I filled with the new Holly Jolly sequins along with some gold, sparkling clear and silver shimmer seed beads, because my shaker element does not have a backing so you would see through to my water coloring area, the best way I found to fill the shaker was to put all my sequins in the middle of my paper and put my frame piece prepared with acetate and foam tape directly over it.

I stamped my little guys in the stockings on white card stock while doing some masking. Starting with the hats, masking them off while stamping my critters and then masking my critters while stamping the stocking. I colored using Copic markers and using my wink of stella glitter pen on the white area of the stockings. I adhered these little cuties over some twine on the shaker and used the little bows from the twine and bows die to the ends of the twine.

I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set on  a strip of  the same color card stock I used for the frame and used the Stitched borders 2 die on the top and bottom.

Newton's Nook Color Challenge

Hi crafty friends!

Happy Friday!!

I have a card to share with you for the color challenge over at Newton's Nook.

I love this color combination! It's too pretty.

For my card I used the adorable new Fox Hollow set. I stamped my fox on water color paper and colored with Zig real brush markers. I used the stitched hillside border dies from Lawn Fawn to create my hill, with mint card stock from SSS. I created my card base with cotton candy card stock drom SSS. To tie in the blue color I sponged it in, in the background along with adding some snowflakes. To finish my card off I added some sparkling clear sequins and clear droplets from Pretty Pink Posh.

The Card Concept challenge #43

Hi there!

A new challenge beings today over at The Card Concept, inspired by the photo below. I just love how full of fall this picture is.

I kept my card fairly simple. With just lots of stamping and masking along the way and colored my images with Copic markers. All the images are from the Happy Harvest set from Lawn Fawn.

CAS Christmas card featuring Lawn Fawn

Hope you had a lovely weekend!

I have a really quick clean and simple Christmas card to share with you today featuring some Lawn Fawn goodies.

I will also be playing along with the anything goes challenge over at the SSS Wednesday challenge blog.

I used the Toboggan Together stamp set. Stamped and colored my penguins and snowballs with Copic markers and fussy cut them out. I used some pattern paper from the Let's Bokeh In The Snow paper pack. I adhered this piece on top of vellum, wrapped some bakers twine and stamped my sentiment before adhering this panel on an A2 white card base.

That's it! A really quick simple card. I just adore that pattern paper, particularly in that color so you may see me using it quite a lot, if you haven't already :p

Hi crafty friends!

I have a fun ombre thank you card to share with you today. I made this a little bit ago but sometimes I put my cards under a hard surface to flatten them and well I forgot about it.

For this card I used watercolour paper and a few different blue colours to watercolour the background to get a sort of ombre gradient look. I die cut the background using the Starry Background die from Wplus9. I matted this panel on some glitter paper (didn't photograph well, sorry!) 

The sentiment is from My Favourite Things, I embossed it on vellum with some gold embossing powder. I wanted something black on the card so it wasn't overly matchy but I didn't have any washi tape that would have worked so I made my own using tissue paper. I just stamped the chevron stamp on a strip of tissue paper, tore the edges and adhered on top of my vellum to make it look like washi tape.

Embossed leaves

Happy Tuesday! Hope your all having a lovely start to the week.

I don't know about your weather but it's getting cold here already and I've has to scrape my car windows already. Ew. So I will likely get into making more Holiday and winter cards soon but for now I have a fall inspired card. It's my way of trying to hold on to fall just a tad longer.

If you haven't heard my crafty friend Ka over at Stamping Smile Designs is having a design team call for her tic-tac-toe challenge she will be starting soon. I love that she is taking this on and what a super fun challenge concept. 

My card is based on the middle column of the tic-tac-toe board. Leaves, embossing, and sparkles! 

I started with a piece of water color paper I cut using the scallop die from the Sweet Scallops die set from Avery Elle and stamped my leaves randomly with Versamark ink from the Our Friendship Grows stamp set from Lawn Fawn. I covered my stamped leaves in gold embossing powder and get with my heat tool. I used my Zig real brush markers to create a wash of color over each of them. I used the oval scallop die in the Sweet Scallops die set to cut out a space to in lay my gold glitter paper and sentiment. To finish my card off and to give it more sparkle I added some gold sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.
