Your're just my cup of tea card for Mojo Monday 380

Hello!

Here to share the card I made to play along with Mojo Monday sketch challenge.

I kept the card pretty simple with a white card base, added some pretty blu flowery patterned paper I had and on the other side I stamped Hero Arts zig zag stamp in crumb cake ink. The cute little tea cup and saucer are from the love you a latte set from Lawn Fawn which  I paper pieced and cut out. The sentiment is from the absolutely delightful set from Simon Says Stamp.

I added some blue ish/ teal ribbon and some twine to finish it off.

Watercolor background with Simon Says Stamp stencil

Hello!

So I've been curled up in bed today fighting the lovely flu that seems to be going around but with some help from advil I had this little burst of energy to get up and share my inky card I created for the Simon Says Stamp Inky Background challenge over at their Monday challenge blog.

I used the Hello line stencil from Simon Says Stamp and temporary adhered it to some water color paper, mixed some distress inks with water and just randomly colored all over the paper and added some random splatter as I went. I love the random messiness of water coloring! Some color did bleed underneath the stencil but I tried to clean it up using a white gel pen.

Winter Themed card featuring Lawn Fawn

Hello!

Here to share the card I made for the Lawnscaping Winter Themed Challenge today. Living in Canada, I'm kinda over winter. My car wouldn't start the other day due to the -36 degree cold. With that being said I can very much enjoy winter if it involves being inside with a hot beverage crafting! (or skiing lol) :) All these winter themed cards are quite lovely and inspiring and the pictures in the Lawnscaping badge show the beauty in winter!

Ok so my card, I used the adorable little owl from the Critters in the Forest stamp set and the little ear muffs from the Making Frosty Friends stamp set, as well as the snowflakes from this stamp set. I used some different variations of blue to stamp the snowflakes in the background. I used silver sickles on some random snowflakes and on the snow hill.

Thank you watercolor card for Newton's Nook Flash Challenge

Hi all!

I'm playing along with Newton's Nook flash, thank you themed challenge. I received a bunch of new Newton's Nook stamp sets for Christmas from my husband, so I couldn't wait to participate in the challenge and use my new goodies.

I did some water coloring with this one. I used water color paper and mixed some distress ink with water and just painted some circles larger the the flowers and did some spattering all over the place, after it was dry I stamped the flowers on top with Staz On ink. It turned out a little messier then I pictured but I kinda like the look:)

Simple card set featuring Simon Says Stamp and Hero Arts

Here to share some simple cards I made as part of a card set for little gifts. I made 4 sets in total. I gave some away as part of Christmas presents but can be given away as little gifts anytime of the year:)

I kept the cards really simple so they were easy to make plenty off.

I made 2 different designs but 3 variations of each, kept the design the same but changed sentiments, colors and such. I made 2 cards of each variation so there are 12 cards in total for the set.

Ok, so the first set is very simple. I started with a white card base, and stamped the butterfly with 3 different colors and then used 3 different sentiments and stamped directly over the butterfly. (Stamp sets listed below)

Ok so this set , still very simple but a few more layers then the previous set.

For this one, I used 3 different colors of cardstock as a card base and used different embossing folders with white cardstock of slightly smaller sizes to adhere on top. Then I used the same colored cardstock as the card base to make the banner for the sentiment.

And to finish it off I made a holder for the card sets and some envelopes to go along for the recipient. For this I used an 8-1/2" by 11" and trimmed 1/2 an inch off and then made 2 score marks in the middle to have the thick center to have enough room to fit the cards in the center. The first score mark was at 4.6 inches and the second at 5.8 inches. Then to make the holders or folds in the middle to hold the cards. For this just make sure to give your self extra room to make some folds, one more the added thickness and the second to adhere to the back of the card. So you want the cardstock to be the length of one side of the holder add 2 inches on each side and the bottom. Scor at one inch and then again at 2 inches, the first fold is what would be used to adhere to to back of the card , the second is just for the thickness. I hope that makes sense! Im not so good at explaining with text, sorry! Hopefully pictures will explain for me:)

For the outside I added some colored ribbon to be able to tie it shut, I hid the ribbon with a scallop circle that I die-cut out of white cardstock. Also Die-cut some butterfly's  and scattered them around , added some pearls in the middle and done a cute little card set.

Tall & Skinny: Mojo Monday challenge#378

Hello! Hope everyone had lovely holidays and a very happy new year! I have very much enjoyed the holidays and having some time off but I personally need to get myself back on a regular schedule again, although I did have some time to be crafty over the holiday, which of course is most important (aside from family time:p) any who I'm here today to play along with  Mojo Monday tall and skinny sketch challenge. This is a new challenge blog for me and I had so much fun creating my card with the sketch supplied.

 

I tried to follow the tall and skinny measurements although I did add a little extra width.

I started off with a kraft card stock as the base of my tall & skinny card. I used some patterned paper I had in my stash and although not pictured well I embossed some white card stock for the piece across behind the scallop and sentiment. I also did some light background stamping behind the sentiment for some added interest using a background stamp from Hero Arts. I die cut the Happy Birthday sentiment from a die from Simon Says Stamp, added it on top of my circles and randomly placed some different sized gems around the card, because it just didn't look finished until there was some sort of shine! :)
